A few related issues have been reported to customer support recently. These errors stem from CDM devices (seen typically in the TCR) not functioning without apparent cause. An inspection into the issue revealed that some important registry settings were being changed during a Windows Update. This issue was first discovered after the 1803 update, although it has been linked to subsequent updates as well.
This article provides the limited information that Nexus has been able to find on this Microsoft issue. The Windows updates are altering the registry and permissions within Nexus and some teller applications, which then causes the behavior being reported.
The support team at Nexus Software has determined a successful workaround to the issues caused by the Microsoft updates/changes.
